Plants Map Journal Update – March 2015
Happy Spring from Plants Map where the snowdrops are blooming and daffodils and spring flowering bulbs are emerging all around. We know you are ready to get the growing season going and so are we.
Plants Map Redesign & Site Update: We are getting closer and closer to our new website launch in May! The look and feel of the website will be completely updated and social features will be added such as a news feed, the ability to follow other profiles, like and comment on plants, and the ability to create a list of favorite plants from other profiles.
We have many new and diverse organizations joining Plants Map.
Our picks to share with you this month are Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, IL and Spotsylvania Greenways Initiative in Spotsylvania, VA.
Earlier this month Tracy Blevins attended the Chicago Flower Show and created a Chicago Flower Show Collection to share with you some of the highlights. Tracy also had a great time participating in a #gardenchat tweetup. Thanks to Bren Haas for organizing. Click the link to see a short YouTube video from this tweetup: Spring Garden Tips from #gardenchat Live in Chicago.
We also want to remind you that Plants Map will be at the American Horticultural Society’s Spring Market at River Farm from April 10-11. We will be donating a gift bundle for their raffle. Look for more details to be posted to our Journal about the AHS Spring Market soon.
If you haven’t yet requested your free sample Plants Map tag just fill out this form and we will get one out to you asap. If you have already received one, we would greatly appreciate your feedback.
We wanted to let you know we are going to transition to a more informal schedule of sending out our Journal. Instead of being on a monthly basis we will send out our Journal as we need to send out news and updates. If you subscribed to The Journal blog posts on the site, you will continue to receive emails when we post new articles.
Thank you to our growing community. Plants Map is great way to share and document what you love to grow. Please tell a friend about us and forward this email to help us grow.
Happy spring and we look forward to seeing more of your plants, gardens and landscapes on Plants Map!
