Plants Map Journal: January Update
Happy New Year!
January 15 marked Plants Map’s first anniversary! We sincerely thank all of our early adopters and supporters who helped us grow. We look forward to continuing to develop PlantsMap.com with you.
Spring is around the corner and there is no better time to create a profile and share what you are growing. Throughout the year, use your smartphone or computer to keep your growing notes and photos organized.
Site Updates
Have you noticed changes to the site in the past few weeks? We’re working on a redesign of PlantsMap.com that will begin launching next month. While our website is under major redevelopment behind the scenes we are still improving the current website. Here are few recent improvements:
- Maps: You can now map your profile location and location of your plants and collections. It is as simple as dragging a pin on the map to save the location. Check out the map page here.
- Adding Plants: The Add A Plant form has been redesigned and it is much easier to use. Please give it a try!
- Business Profiles: We are now welcoming businesses, brands and professionals to create organization profiles on Plants Map. We’ve made it easy for everyone to join Plants Map and start connecting. Click here for more information about adding your organization.
Featured Organization
This month we are featuring Blooma Tree Experts. One of their customers is the REI Flagship Store in the heart of Seattle. The landscaping at REI is incredible!
We helped Blooma Tree Experts add plants in the REI landscape to the site and made interactive Plants Map Signs. They wanted REI customers to learn about the trees and plants in their landscape.
We can’t wait to see the photos once the signs are in place!

- We’ve moved into a new office in Fredericksburg, VA. We have found new office space to house our new laser engraving machine that makes our interactive Plant Tags & Signs. Our goal is to make the highest quality and best priced interactive signs on the market. For a limited time we are offering a free sample tag to anyone who adds a plant to the site. If you haven’t yet seen one of our tags, simply add a plant and then request a sample and we’ll drop one in the mail right away. You will LOVE them — they make updating your journal and adding photos so easy.
