We encourage photos and content from your own personal experiences. Including commonly known facts and public information such as growing preferences, tolerances, average size or other descriptive details.
Photos are not required to list plants and collections. If you are adding plants, please don’t feel the need to include a photo if you don’t have one. We encourage you to use your own photos. Any other photos should only be used with permission or from a source that allows common use with the appropriate citations.

You can use the Reference Links feature on a plant listing to save websites with additional information, such as links out to listings from botanical gardens, cooperative extensions, universities, etc.
We are planning future developments where we will host a stock library of photos that can be used and shared by the community.
If you aren’t sure about using content that you didn’t write or photos that you didn’t take, it would be best to leave that information off of the site.
As a regular practice, we don’t manually police the site for copyright violations but we do reserve the right to remove any content that we suspect to be a violation of another person or organization’s copyright.
