Connecting People Plants Journal June 2019

We hope you are enjoying the arrival of summer! This month we are excited to announce the launch of a new personalized search tool called My Plant Finder. We also share with you the story behind the origins of native plant vendor – Prairie Nursery, provide information on plants that help endangered pollinators, explore gardens of the Pacific Northwest and more.

On June 27th, Plants Map launched a new plus feature with the My Plants Map tools called My Plant Finder. It will be similar to the site-wide Plant Finder tool but with the ability to use the same search criteria only within your own My Plants Map plant library. In addition to the Plant Finder filters, My Plant Finder will also include owner information filters such as plants with or without photos or map locations, alive or dead status, plants within a family or genus, and plants by collections.

In May, Plantsmap.com introduced new features that take the mission of connecting people with plants even further. The information-rich Plant Finder search tool set the stage for the capability to offer Buy It plants to its website visitors and community.

Happy Arbor Day! One of the things that inspires me is learning about the educators, caretakers, and guardians behind the plants and landscapes on Plants Map.
